At the age of 12, Santos joined the SPLA.
As a part of the army fighting against the
North, he feared no one.
In 1995, Santos
escaped the military and went to Uganda, where he gave his life to Jesus.
Santos and Agnes were married in 2002,
and have four children: Jacob 9, Sharon
7, Emmanuel 4 and Samson 1.
Ministries involved with:
Santos’ offical role at the Yei YWAM base includes administration and finance.
However, he also helps out in managing the construction. He is an evangelist at heart and desires to see unreached people groups know
the gospel message, though recently that has been hard due to finances and time. But when he can, he is often ministering in home-to-home discipleship visits. He is also involved with the prison ministry.
He has also staffed many DTS schools, and frequently teaches on the
topic of Rejection and Acceptance.
Future Ministry Vision:
1) Home-to-home discipleship (cell groups)
2) Desires to reach unreached people
3) Prison ministry
Desire:
"That God would use me as a center of restoration for people who are rejected and in need of love."
-Onyala Santos
Life verse:
“It has always been my ambition to preach
the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on
someone else's foundation. Rather, as it is written:
‘Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will
understand.’”
